Arroyo High School 2017 Town Hall: We All Bleed Red
On December 19, 2017, the DPA (Developmental Psychology of Adolescents) Class of the Arroyo High School Future Leaders of Social Change Small Learning Academy presented their annual Town Hall on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
The theme was We All Bleed Red. Students explained that they chose this theme to convey that all human beings are equal. The students presented reflections on the human rights issues they or others they knew were experiencing. They wanted the audience of other Future Leaders of Social Change students, teachers and administrators to take their concerns to heart to promote greater understanding of what people were experiencing, as well as inspiration to take action for positive change.
As part of examining human rights issues in daily life, students created art work focused on particular topics.
