KQED Honors Destiny Arts’ Sarah Crowell

sarah crowellWe’re delighted to report that Sarah Crowell, Artistic Director of Rex grantee Destiny Arts Center, has been named one of KQED’s Women’s History Heroes for 2011.

Says Rex Foundation Executive Director Sandy Sohcot: “Having worked directly with Sarah Crowell since 2006 on The World As It Could Be Project, I can attest to Sarah’s gifts as a leader, teacher, artist and thoughtful person.

“She inspires the youth involved in Destiny Arts and The World As It Could Be projects to think deeply and care about the world around them, while also enjoying and applying their intellectual and creative gifts.”

Congratulations to Sarah on this well-deserved honor!
